特征特性：G-杆菌，精氨酸双水解酶阴性，赖氨酸脱羧酶、鸟氨酸脱羧酶阳性，氧化酶、尿素酶阴性，吲哚阴性，柠檬酸盐实验阴性，不发酵蔗糖、肌醇，有动力、产生H2S，兼性厌氧，最适pH7.4~7.6。血清型：O 4，5，12 :H i :1，2 。
参考用途：研究、质量控制，《GB 4789.28 培养基和试剂的质量要求》标准菌株。

培养基：0002 营养肉汤琼脂（Nutrient Agar）
蛋白胨 5.0 g 牛肉浸粉 3.0 g NaCl 5.0 g 琼脂 15.0 g 蒸馏水 1000.0 mL pH 7.0
培养芽胞杆菌时加入5 mg MnSO4·H2O，则有利于产生芽胞。以上成分121℃，灭菌15 min。液体培养基不添加琼脂。推荐使用成品培养基。培养温度：37 ℃
